ESTEQ EDUTEQ was launched due to a growing need from industry to be able to mentor young engineers
in translating their acquired knowledge from university and other tertiary institutions into practical skills needed by industry.
With its second year of running, and a successful internship with Denel SAAB Aerostructures past, ESTEQ realized that the current skills shortage in South Africa makes it almost impossible for companies to be able to mentor young engineers since their workload simply does not allow it. Companies therefore need their young engineers to be equipped sooner to help them cope with the workload but need to ensure that they are suitably equipped for the task.
ESTEQ EDUTEQ wants to assist companies with precisely this:
To empower the young engineer to be able to use all the software required from his parent company in a working environment under the guidance of highly skilled technical professionals. This does not only translate into attending all the courses currently presented by ESTEQ, but also to involve the young engineer in knowledge transfer projects run by ESTEQ for our customers.
ESTEQ Engineering is currently running an internship program with Babcock. We keep any qualifying candidate on our database for any future openings. If you would like to apply for a position, please sent your CV to
